United States Marine Corps (USMC) Logistics Connector Middle Tier Acquisition Rapid Prototype

The United States Marine Corps’ (USMC) primary mode of in-theater logistic resupply operations has been the use of trucks and other ground-based transport vehicles to deliver goods and supplies to forward deployed troops. This exposes the transports to various threats and limits resupply to areas accessible via wheeled or tracked vehicles. The use of ground transport vehicles for logistic resupply operations is not viable with the employment of the USMC concept of Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations (EABO) and Stand-in-Force (SiF). The USMC intends to pursue a material solution that will provide the ability to use aerial distribution platforms to conduct responsive, precision resupply amongst a widely distributed force in support of EABO.
