Marine Air Ground Task Force Unmanned Aircraft System Aircraft System Expeditionary (MUX) MQ-9A Block 5 Reaper

The MUX program includes a family of unmanned systems that directly support both the Marine Corps Force Design 2030 and the Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for great power competition in the United States Indo-Pacific Command Area of Responsibility. The Sky Tower I (ST I) system was designed for legacy MQ-9A missions and operations. However, it does not meet the MUX Medium Altitude Long-Endurance’s (MALE) communications requirements and lacks the appropriate technological infrastructure and network connectivity to support emerging Marine Corps, Navy, and Joint Force operational objectives. The purpose of this project to develop the next-generation MUX MALE Airborne Network Extension (SkyTower II) that is integrated with the MQ-9A, Block 5-25 unmanned aerial system.
