description

The current transceivers used by Data Acquisition and Processing System (DAPS) were developed and reached Full Operational Capability (FOC) in 2003. The critical internal components of the transceivers are no longer being manufactured and the transceivers have exceeded their end of life (EOL) cycle. The Patuxent River Naval Air Station (NAS) and White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) has a requirement to develop a modern transceiver solution to replace the current hardware at both T&E facilities. This prototype project will include a design effort or design modifications of existing hardware, fabrication of 2 prototype transmitters that meet system needs, and any necessary support equipment to achieve a fully operational test capability.
